Q: Anyone familiar with Diesel 153 proof Grain Alcohol?

I was getting ready to make Limoncello in the next few days, and I live in Florida where you can’t get 190 proof spirits.

I’ve re-written the recipe I like. I reduce the water, increasing the sugar syrup concentration, and use more grain alcohol to achieve the same proof when finished.

I’ve always purchased Everclear 151 and was getting ready to do that today when the store I went to had Diesel 153.

Here’s the thing, a 750ml of Everclear is $20-22 around here, but the Diesel was $18 for 1L!

I’d have to make a slight modification to my recipe with it, but is the brand any good? I’ve never heard of it before or seen anything over 151 as far as I can recall.

I don’t want some crappy brand that will give me headaches or anything, but I can’t find any reviews of the brand.
