question about alcohol intolerance
Wasnt sure where to go to ask this but lately ive been having an aversion to alcohol. I used to be able to take multiple shots and not vomit until recently. Around 3 months ago I made a stupid decision and drank 2 bottles of wine in one night and I had the absolute WORST hangover and blacked out, so for a while i was absolutely repulsed by alcohol. Couldn’t even think of it or look at it for the like 2 weeks after that really, id start feeling a bit sick. Since then I’ve been trying to build up tolerance to it and drink a bit at a time but it wasnt of much help, especially with stronger alcohol. I threw up nearly every time, if i didnt Id just feel sick and shiver from how gross it was. I know some of you are gonna ask “Why the hell did you keep trying?” but i really just thought i had to get used to it again lol. Could I have developed alcohol intolerance? My friend suggested i had it earlier but i looked a bit into it and im just seeing stuff about it being a genetic thing, but I clearly wasn’t like that before. I dont know if its a thing you can develop or if its just my body remembering how awful that specific experience was and doesnt have a specific label, and i also wanna know if other people have had this happen to them.
