Why does anyone go to a bar?

Why would anyone spend 10$ a shot just so you can risk a dui, when you can be at home with some buddies and buy a whole bottle for 20$?make it make sense like you going to spend 10 times the money just so you can risk a dui? I get that its nice to go out and maby meet new people but i dont think its worth it if you have to risk a dui over it. It may sound stupid and i hate drunk drivers but I think the laws just a little too sensitive over drinking and driving.( sorry if this is a “ shit post” but idk what is and isnt, i have a question and idk where else to get the answer from thanks you)
