Bad combos for vodka

I’m quite new to drinking vodka and was wondering what spirits to avoid drinking in combination with it. For example: At a party last Christmas I had a vodka-blend with some blueberry juice and a beer after. Then I drank some minttu and started feeling really bad.

These were all in small quantities for me (5cl vodka, 33 cl beer 5%, and 3 cl minttu) but it hit me like a truck nonetheless. For reference, I’m able to get down 5 beers no problem if I only drink that.

To avoid this mistake in the future and having to go home early, what combos should I avoid when drinking vodka?
