My drunk only lasts 2 and a half hours?

Last night I took about 6 shots that’s the most I have ever had but it only lasted 2:30 hours. I took about 4 shots and around 15 minutes later I took 2 more I felt very drunk for about 2 hours then I barely felt it. I hear that your body gets rid of 1 shot per our so it should last at least 4 hours.
