Can you buy alcohol on Monday at midnight?

I’m in Ohio just trying to save myself some embarrassment with a repeat of last weekend. I was thinking it was Saturday but went into the gas station on Sunday at midnight. They told me I couldn’t buy alcohol. I apologized. I want to buy alcohol tonight. Would I be able to go in at midnight to buy alcohol? It will technically be Monday. Not sure if anyone has done this and can tell me one way or the other. Thanks!
