can alcohol cause psychotic behaviour?

like 2 days ago now, i had a bottle of wine to drink and my friend invited me out for a few more, i should’ve known my limits because i was already drunk from the wine, and after the first drink at the bar i remember literally nothing, not how i got home or what we did or where we went etc, my last memory was literally arriving at the first bar. i do seem to blackout everytime i drink. but, apparently i came home and started banging on all of the neighbours doors and shouting to be let in because i thought it was my house (and i had lost my key), my mother heard and had to come get me from the street and when i got into the house i proceeded to scream at the top of my lungs and swear at my parents repeatedly, my dad even slapped me because i was being so aggressive. i also apparently threw my phone multiple times to the point where the screen is now coming off in bits and is unusable. i remember nothing of this, is this normal behaviour for alcohol? my parents and one of the neighbours that saw me said it seemed like i had taken something but i asked my friend i was with and we hadn’t.
