i like alcohol more than my friends

This might mean completely nothing, but ever since i started drinking alcohol at like 15, I knew i liked it a little bit more than my friends. by this i mean i would be down to drink no matter what. i always think a social gathering can be enhanced by alcohol, no matter the context/time of day it is. im now in first year univerisity, but i used to drink alone in highschool, even thought i had plenty of friends i could drink with. however, i dont see my reltationship with alcohol as a problem, because i can/have gone weeks/months without it. i guess my point of this post it, does it seem like this is an issue.? im not really sure why im so inclined to drink whenever possible, i dont have ant addction issues in my familly, although both my parents were heavy smokers in the past
