Having one drink a day

Is it detrimental to make a cocktail for myself every night? It’s usually only 1-2 shots of liquor in them. My friends say that I’m an alcoholic for this. If this truly is terrible for my health, I can stop(I know drinking anything isn’t great but I just want to know if it’s horrible to do this).
