Can you stop after a few drinks?

Can you go for 1 glass of wine then call it quits? Is it like I can have 1 chocolate bar and then stop I wouldn’t have another one.

Most people I know go out and drink until they are drunk. I certainly did although bar a few blips I have been sober 5 years because I know I have a bad relationship with alcohol. It might be cultural and more prevalent in my family but I grew up seeing adults (30+) get pissed drunk on a regular basis
