Does Sangria smell or taste like red wine?

Or is it way different? I have some childhood trauma relating to red wine, so I would like to avoid it if it does. But, I am very curious. It sounds so festive and nice! If there are notes of red wine, but it’s mostly fruity or different or whatever, that’s fine. I would like to try it.
