Mental and physical tolerance

Are mental and physical tolerances different things? I find that as I drink regular and my tolerances has gone up a lot and 5 shots used to make me drunk drunk but now 7 shots and I am stumbling when I walk but almost sober mentally and can have full on convos and don’t have impaired decision making
