Weirdish question

So I’m turning 21 soon I’ve been drinking illegally for the past 4 years but it’s just been on and off kind of thing My friends wanted to go out to a bar. What are some good safety tips for someone who’s never drank outside of the home. As someone who likes a really sweet drink the bar that me and my friends are going too only serves mixed drinks I’ve never had a mixed drink. Before what are good options.
