can a black out like this happen?

I was drinking alone one night and I was playing videogames all night so I know what I was doing the whole night. at one point I was nauseous and went to puke in the grass outside, I went stright outside and puked then layed down on the drive way for a second to settle the neasua. I accedently fell asleep and freaked my mom out when she found me. but my mom also said I had puked in the sink and I have zero memory of that, I feel like I have every part of my night accounted for and I felt no timeskips durring that night. Could I of blacked out when going to puke and puked in the sink instead?
