Why can I not drink alcohol straight anymore?

I used to be able to do shot after shot and take shooters but now I can’t. Even one shot just makes me want to puke right away and I can’t get it down. Why is this? I want to be able to do shots again instead of sticking to 5% cans. Thanks!
