Extreme pain in forearms after one night of heavy drinking

26F I don’t drink often. I might have a beer or two 1 or 2 nights a week and that’s maybe once every 2 months or so. Yesterday I went to a party, started drinking at 2pm, didn’t stop till 11 or midnight with a few sips of water in between and food. About 1am on the way home both of my forearms started hurting extremely bad. I can only describe it feeling like my veins were exploding or my muscles were trying to burst out of my skin, tear from the bone. It was intense. It lasted the whole 2 hr drive home, I was in and out of consciousness due to drunk, tired, and pain but we finally made it home and I thought laying down would help. It did not, the intense pain continued through the night, I couldn’t sleep, it hurt so bad I was crying out with pain. Eventually after an unknown time it calmed and I was able to sleep. This has never happened to me before. I used to drink heavy almost every weekend during some college years and this never happened then.

Has this happened to any of yall? I’ve googled it and keep seeing it called alcoholic neuropathy. But I thought that only affects people who often drink heavily. This is the first time I’ve gotten drunk in months. Could it be that? From one night of heavy drinking? Or is it something else?
