Alcohol never made me throw up?

I’ve been sober from alcohol for almost 19 months now, and I’m trying to find the answer to something that just drives me crazy! I drank extremely heavily from mid 2020 – beginning of 2023. I’m talking a whole bottles of vodka in one night, my last bender before I got sober included 96 empty cans when I came to after the weekend. Anywho, I never, not once, vomited from alcohol. My sister who’s a nurse says it makes no sense and she’s glad I’m alive. I really just want to know because it’s interesting (and weird) to me, and when I tell people alcohol never made me throw up, they look at me like they don’t believe me. I did have a weight loss surgery done in 2019, the Duodenal Switch, which I believe has to do with it, but I can’t find any real answer. Anywho, anyone with any knowledge, I’d appreciate haha!
