Antacids with alcohol

I am currently drinking juice vodka and I usually struggle with heartburn, but logically alcohol worsens it. Is it safe and/or recommended taking OTC antacids while drinking or right after drinking? (P.S. I am also eating while drinking but its still not enough to relieve the heartburn completely)
