Drinking while alone as a young person (living by themselves)?
I am 21 and live alone in a major city. Going out for drinks is expensive, so after a stressful day at work I come home and drink alone. My friends say that it is not okay. I am confused, because I thought drinking after a long day is standard. I do not want to be an alcoholic, but still.
Things for me:
I am weight-conscious and will not gain weight for alcohol I have friends where I live, we are all just busy I see alcohol as a hobby too, enjoy the taste and making cocktails
Things against me:
I have severe anxiety (in therapy for it), and drinking makes me feel normal My dad is an alcoholic
How can I balance things so I can avoid addiction?
