Why is alcohol causing this issue ?
So, I’ll try my best to explain what’s happening. When I drink beer, and only beer. I usually only have 2 or 3 beers and it ranges from maybe once a week to once a month. I’ll drink them, be fine, get a nice buzz and fall asleep. About an hour after falling asleep I wakeup COUGHING. Absolutely coughing, throat feels like it’s closing and gives that wheezing noise when I breath and my spit is THICK. I mean you could lube an engine with how thick and slick it is. After I spit up a fair amount of the saliva and chill for 20 min I can breath normal again and feel fine. Spit up may or may not be the correct verbage also. It’s almost as if this thick saliva is pouring out of my throat, just a continues stream. But why does this occur? Doesn’t happen with any other kind of alcohol really and it’s only specific beers I think. Bud light/miller light cause this, while yuengling does not cause this.
