First time drinking?

So tomorrow i’m going to spend the night at my friends house and i’m gonna be drinking quite a bit for the first time, and i have 1 big question. I’ve smoked weed here and there and I whenever I smoke, I stay pretty high into the next day. I know weed and liquor are much different but I have to drive home the next morning and was wondering if I should be sober by the time i wake up the next morning or if i’ll still feel the affects and wont be able to drive? Do you guys think I should just go light for now or just have a good night and i’ll be fine the next morning? Thanks!
