Noob Blind Taste Test
I’m a total vodka noob but I’ve been scouring this Sub for recs to try and sample the last week. As an fyi, my preference is for vodka to be super smooth flavorless glacier water. A few brief comments on each. I should note I drank these at room temp.
Grey Goose- didn’t love, didn’t like the alcohol burn aftertaste and found it a little harsh. Not terrible though.
Belvedere- I found this to be a definite improvement on GG. Didn’t have a harsh burn and I found drinking it overall very pleasant.
Chopin Potato- I think the sub got this one right, very smooth and enjoyable. Could taste the creaminess drinking this straight.
Russian Standard Imperia- just tastes super clean, not quite as “soft” as Chopin but really really good. Haven’t compared it to RS Platinum but I want to try that.
Reyka- found this to be dreadful in comparison to the others lol. I went back and forth between all the others and this was clearly the worst. Felt like fire coming out of my nose. I had really strong hopes for this one given some of the reviews but it didn’t live up to the hype.
In the end I’d probably rank them
Chopin Potato RS Imperia Belvedere Grey Goose Reyka
