Anyone else here “taste” hard liquor?

I don’t know how else to explain it. I’m 22 and cannot stand the taste of alcohol. I once diluted an ounce of whiskey in like 12 ounces of coke and it tasted like straight whiskey. Vodka, which apparently has zero taste, tastes like hand sanitizer to me. My family doesn’t understand it – is this a normal thing?
