Cashier at a liquor store wouldn’t let me buy soda because I didn’t have my ID

I went into a liquor store with my sister that mostly consisted of just alcohol , now I don’t drink because I’m not 21 yet , but went in there because i was really thirsty (due to hot weather) , it was the nearest walking distance store from me and had a feeling they offered other drinks (not just alcohol)

I tried to get a soda and then they asked for ID , so my sister pulls her ID out (she’s over 21) and then they asked for mine …. And I didn’t have it on me … after that they just kicked us out .

Honestly has a feeling that was gonna happen cuz the cashier was staring at us with a mean look lolll. He prolly thought we were teenagers looking to buy alcohol with fake ID

I wasn’t even buying alcohol so I was honestly really disappointed….. does it happen to anyone else ??
