Alcoholism Cold Turkey

So I need some advice. This has probably been posted elsewhere but I think my situation is different. For what it’s worth I’m 6’4 M who just turned 30 (athletically active). I have drank pretty heavily since college. Growing up I always had a high metabolism, especially when I I hit my tall growth spurt in college. But when I became legal (21) and moved out on my own I have been drinking pretty heavily since then. No hard liquor, I’ll have the occasional Jack & coke maybe once every other month. I’m mostly a white claw drinker. I have drank near a 12 pack a day for a good 6 years. I used to be a really good looking “pretty boy” but now I can see in pictures my face is getting puffy and starting to slowly get a beer belly when before I had natural washboard abs. Clearly I have a problem, I know that. I want to get back to my original face, body and energy level. I’m by no means fat, it’s just my face and stomach starting to go. Is it better to quit cold Turkey? If so I’m afraid of what side effects that might happen. I also eat very healthy, I don’t eat junk or fast food. Actually I drink so much I maybe only eat lunch at work around 650 calories of lean healthy vegetables and 100% grass fed pure beef or fish. Is there any advice for me for the first week or so? When did you notice you no longer had that desire to get a buzz? (That’s all I get after a 12 pack, I can’t even get drunk anymore). I’m sick and tired of it, I just can’t stop and I’m afraid to cold Turkey. Also if it helps, no I don’t have any depression or anything I’m trying to cover with alcohol. Just an old frat boy who just grew worse. Also I drink these at night while watching sports or playing video games, I don’t party. Happy to answer any questions. Thank you!
