Could salt + lime possibly help to reduce hangover effects from tequila?

Combined with drinking ample amounts of water, of course.

My hypothesis is that the salt and lime may work to supply electrolytes while drinking.

Just a random thought I had while I just took my after work shot of tequila.

I mean, it kind of makes sense, right?

There’s no other alcohol that I directly supplement with electrolytes as I drink it.
