Gifting Gin – what brands?

I’m gifting some co-workers booze at the end of a job. Surprisingly, to me, all three of them have a preference for Gin. I’m a whiskey, scotch, congac, armangac, bourbon, rye, moonshine kinda guy.

Some googling has revealed that Monkey 47 is “the best” gin to gift. Curious if there are any other brands as good and as cool? I’m debating whether I should give them all the same gin or three different brands to make it more interesting?

For example, if you love gin and your coworker got Monkey 47 would you feel disappointed if you got Botanist cask aged? (similar cost I think)
