Does mixing alcohol reduce how drunk you get?

As we all know, the presence of food in the stomach reduces how drunk you get. This is because the pyloric valve is closed as food is digested, meaning alcohol has to stay in the stomach for longer instead of going straight to the small intestine and into the bloodstream. Alcohol is then released more slowly into your system, and some of it is less efficiently absorbed by your stomach.

My question is, does the presence of a mixer (ex. powdered fruit juice, soda, yogurt drink, etc.) close the pyloric valve? And if it does, does it stay closed long enough to affect how drunk you get?

I have half a bottle of gin left. I drank the other half in shots, and it was genuinely so disgusting and agonizing to swallow, so I’m thinking about turning it into a cocktail. I’m thinking about using powdered fruit juice & sprite. But I don’t really want to get less drunk than I usually do.
