Hangover advice
So this isn’t a post asking for hangover advice, I’m just sharing my experience with hangovers and what to avoid as a person that is very sensitive to them. 1. Avoid dark liquors, stick to vodka/tequila (make sure it doesn’t have any additives like sugar/sweeteners) 2. This is very important, be mindful of your mixers. Mixers high in sugar content like soda will dehydrate you along with the alcohol, giving you a nasty hangover, so stick to low sugar/sugar free mixers 3. Water. Try drinking a glass of water every 1-2 drinks
Conclusion: avoiding dark/aged liquor will make it easier for your liver to metabolise the alcohol. Mixers/drinks with added sugar will also make it harder on your liver, and additionally dehydrate you. The morning after drinking, there’s not much to be done for the hangover, drink loads of water and electrolytes and eat, but if you’re drinking or plan on drinking when seeing this post, keep these things in mind.
