Never had a drink in my life and thinking of having my first one. Need advice.

My wife and I, (23F & 22M) have never had a drop of alcohol outside of communion at church. Seriously, neither of us have. We both grew up in “Slavic” Christian communities where alcohol of any kind is extremely frowned upon.

Recently I realized that the Bible never forbids drinking, it only forbids getting “intoxicated”. There are even places in the Bible that look at alcohol as a potential good thing, and places where it even commands giving alcohol to people on their death bed to help with their pain. I don’t want to get into details with religious things, as that’s not why I’m here.

If we were to try a drink for the first time, what and how should we go about that? What’s a romantic way to start? We don’t plan of getting drunk or anything, just looking for something romantic. What drinks? I literally know nothing about alcohol.

Just for information, we’re not Amish, Mormon, or anything like that. We’re pretty much Baptists.
