Can soda make “absolute vodka” taste better?

I’m relatively new to drinking. I’ve been tipsy and drunk before ofc, but moreso in social settings surrounded by ppl w more drinking knowledge. I bought 375 ml absolute vodka, and it tastes horrendous. Even w me chasing w soda. Could I mix my lemon lime soda to make it more drinkable? If so how much? Are there better soda options like dark soda?

The only alcohol I truly could stomach in my life(so far) was tequila, that I didn’t even have to chase. Any other one didn’t do it for me. But I liked the feeling afterward of loosening up lol.
