First drink of the night is always felt straight away for me

Idk if anyone else is the same, it usually takes 5-10 minutes to feel the effects. But first drink of the night, when you have no alcohol in your system. For me, i almost feel it instantly, like within 30 seconds. Took a few sips of 18% gin and felt it straight away, i usually drink higher ABV drinks so first few sips is usually sufficient in potency.
