Quit cigarettes, can’t get drunk?
So I quit smoking cigarettes 4 months ago, I still use a vape to (baby steps, I’m trying to ween off of it as well eventually) but ever since I quite cigarettes, I can not get drunk.
I’ve had a history with alcohol and I’ve accepted I have a high tolerance, but..on the times I’ve “let loose” and tried to drink more to get to where I want to be buzz or drunk wise, I can not get there ever since I quit smoking. I know cigarettes can elevate the druk feeling, but I’ve tried to drink faster, or slightly more to maybe make up for that, and..nothing.
I don’t drink hard liquor, typically I would have like 3-4 tall Mike’s harder drinks and be feeling pretty set for the night. Now I can have the same amount and not feel anything at all. Again I know a high tolerance, but nothing? I just want to chill and get carefree drunk occasionally and I literally can’t. Any thoughts? I’m aware I need to just not drink or work on cutting down, again, baby steps. Sometimes I just want to feel carefree. I also know mindset is a big thing, but..I’m literally in a off work the following day,, things are going decent finally, and I wanna let lose and elevate my happiness for once..and I can’t. Seems like I didn’t have this problem when I was smoking and sad 😂 any positive advice and tips would be great. Starting to think I’ll never experience being drink again. 🙄
