In Japan and discovered a drink that has been in front of me my entire life

A Whiskey Highball! I’ve always somewhat liked whiskey but never found anything I liked that wasn’t a craft cocktail like a whiskey sour. But lo and behold I just tried my first highball with Kaku and my life has changed. I can still taste the whiskeys flavor without having to drink it straight up. How could I be so dumb to not think about mixing whiskey with sparkling water? Hell yeah.
