Haven’t drank for 4 weeks and GAINING weight?!

I really don’t get it. I am giving myself a break from drinking alcohol so that I can shed a few pounds and look overall slimmer for the summer. I have a work trip coming up in another month and want to get in shape for that.

I used to drink on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Mostly wine and white claws. I actually think I had a problem. I’ve never been overweight, but after I’d drink, I’d get really hungry and order fast food. Many calories were consumed.

I stopped drinking for what would be a month now. I started walking for about an hour each day, eating healthier, and drinking more water. The weekends are tough because I’ll want to drink soooo badly but I’m thinking… its okay.. its just for another month.

Well guess what!! I tried on some of the dresses I wore a few months ago when I was heavily consuming alcohol and now they are all TIGHT and just not flattering at all. My belly also looks bigger and my face looks puffier!! What the heck?!

I’m thinking I’ll just go back to drinking then if this is causing the opposite effect. And before y’all ask, I’m definitely consuming fewer calories than when I used to!
