BC alcoholic beverages production

Hypothetically wanting to starts a line of cooler like alcoholic drinks in cans. What is process with finding companies to produce the product (mix liquid and can product), is it common for larger companies to allow smaller outfitters to use their production tools for a fee? This happens in other industries often. Or is this like a build your own factory and production line situation.
