Why do I not get hangovers but I have low tolerance to alcohol?
So I just started drinking a little over a year ago. I did drink beer before that but not to the point where I got drunk.
In the past year I’ve mostly tried cider, beer, vodka, whiskey, and rum. All of them to the point where I was super drunk. But I’ve never gotten a hangover. I’d wake up the next day with the same energy I’d have if I was sober.
Also please note that I have low tolerance. Three mugs of beer is good enough to get me full drunk. Two shots of vodka. Half a whiskey glass and so on.
There was once I blacked out because I drank a full glass of JD with a glass of coke. But I couldn’t remember anything from the past twelve hours. I even puked (my friends said, and also the stink from my clothes) Even then when I woke up, all I was feeling was a little nauseous and super hungry. But I was immediately fine after I ate food.
I’ve googled this, and it said it happens if you have a high tolerance but I don’t. Can anyone help me out? What is this a sign of? Is this because it’s my first year, and I’ll start getting more in the future?
