Suddenly can’t drink wine or beer

So over the past few years I’ve more or less completely lost the ability to drink wine or beer. Pretty much the second I drink I either get extreme acid reflux and/or stomach pains to the point where I can’t eat or drink anything for 2-3 hours. I’ve always had a really hard time with super high hops beers and white wine, but I had always been able to drink pilsners/stouts/red wine without any problems. I really don’t know what changed. I don’t have any reaction like this to any liquor so it’s not the alcohol itself. Ive never been a heavy drinker- but I like having a drink at special occasions/dinners, and at a lot of those (especially work events) vodka isn’t the vibe lol.

I’ve brought it up to doctors but every single one just said “well just don’t drink beer/wine.” Like, bro, of course, but I’d also like to know why a big set drinks suddenly seems like it has the potential to kill me.
