Review: 2022 Lyric Pinot Noir Monterey County

Lyric Pinot Noir is just hitting the market and should not be confused with Lyric by Etude. The new Lyric is made with grapes from Monterey County, California and aged in 25% new French Oak.

On the nose and palate, this wine shows bright cranberry and tart cherry along with a touch of spice. Gentle tannins provide a nice mouthfeel and a lightly drying, medium-length finish. The wine shows medium to high acidity, which will help it pair with a range of foods from grilled salmon to creamy pastas. Uncomplicated but a solid example of Pinot Noir from the Monterey County region.
