Will a plastic Gatorade bottle of wine explode if kept sealed shut for too long?

I was drinking 12% beat box wine out a plastic Gatorade bottle I left somewhere less than halfway full but I had shut the lid all the way tight. Is the 12% wine enough to make the bottle swell and get really tight (under pressure) like with liquor? And can it or will it explode? If so how long can it be shut closed before it does?
