Bloodwork at sober date and 2 months later results**
Bloodwork @ quit date and 2 months later results
34m The picture is my bloodwork on the day of my last drink. I quit drinking on January 17 of this year and I had been drinking vodka heavily for about 2 years straight. About 2 pints up to about a handle of vodka a day on my bad days. The only times I wasn’t drinking was basically if I drank to the point I needed to go to the hospital for detox but it never lasted long after that. It finally stuck this time it feels like, I was so tired of the vomiting, extremely high blood pressure, weight gain, mental health decline, bloating… it was too much and I finally surrender. My life revolved around Tito’s and he wasn’t even putting out haha… i isolated more than I ever imagined I could. Anyways – My blood work at first was pretty horrific regarding my liver and I thought I was fucked but I’m here to say that I am shocked at how fast my liver bounced back. I thought it would be a long road and 63 days later I did my bloodwork yesterday and my liver is in normal ranges! I’ll attack the first (bad) blood test and the second picture is from the bloodwork I just had done yesterday! Thinking about the damage I had done always gave me anxiety but i just decided to bite the bullet and deal with whatever came from it. There’s hope, it’s not too late if you’re reading this! Quit while you’re ahead. Ask your doctors about abstaining from alcohol medications, acamprosate is working for me! AMA if needed!
