Ethanol vs Alcohol

I am of the belief that the mixer in spirits, beer etc. are responsible for cancer etc. as the Ethanol itself, if not more. Whiskey aged in charred wooden barrels for instance when we are told to avoid charred grilled meat. I believe the healthiest alcohol consists of mixing ethanol ( 190 proof ) with something like grape juice JUST BEFORE drinking, avoiding all the chemical reactions, etc. in bottled “Spirits”. Is anyone aware of a study comparing health effects of ethanol vs beer, wine, spirits?
