Why is it that sometimes 3-4 shots get me wasted and sometimes I drink half a 750ml and feel nothing but a headache

the other night I drank 3 shots of crown and 2 shots of gin in under and hour and got drunk. tonight im almost half way with the bottle of crown and feel nothing
