pickling eggs

question,

this guy that I know recently pickled eggs and then soaked them in E&J brandy for (a week?)

and I was wondering 2 things

1) is this good to do? as in is it safe and edible, also what would the shelf life be?

2) is there anywhere online where I can see how to do this other ways?
