Why does tequila taste bad to me now all of a sudden?

I used to be a big tequila and margarita girl. In fact, that was pretty much the only alcohol I ever drank. Yes, I did get sick off of it last year but who hasn’t. For some reason lately I can’t even stomach the smell or taste of it-doesn’t matter the brand or the drink. Not because it’s in my head or because I’m traumatized, but it literally doesn’t taste the same anymore… Even though it’s the same brands/drinks I’ve always been drinking. is there some kind of science behind this? Did my taste buds change? Someone give me an answer 😭😂 I want to love it again!
