Drinking culture in the USA and England among young people

I am 22 years old. I like to drink and hang out with friends. I really love shows. My favorite drinks are tequila, vodka and vodka cocktails. I’m going to move to the USA to study and then transfer to England. Americans, British and generally Western Europeans of my age. It’s normal for you to get together and drink sometimes. Drinking with friends, drinking shots in bars, etc. is it common or most of you are obsessed with healthy lifestyle and don’t drink. What is the atmosphere like among young people?
