Why is life so boring without alcohol

Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if people are alcoholics out of pure boredom, it’s like if I know it’s a fun event like a birthday, new years, friends coming over or Christmas I wanna drink just because I know it makes you more talkative and makes you happy and more easy to talk about whatever with no judgment, does anyone else feel that way
