Glenlivet

For a Christmas present. Hubby is new to whisky but likes something smooth on the throat and vanilla, caramel flavours for sweet or apple and sometimes citrus for fruit. I’m looking at 12, 15 and 18. Budget doesn’t stretch for older. Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance.
