Got blackout drunk last night and screwed up. Cautionary tale.

Where to start with this…I guess the beginning.

So I arrived home around 2pm yesterday after a weekend trip away. I was sitting there wondering what to do for dinner when I had the idea of smoking 4.5lb of pork ribs. Brilliant!

So I put on the ribs and decided to have a g&t in the afternoon sun (Australia), and of course one turned into two into three. The last thing I remember was around 8pm before I woke upon the couch at 2am with a movie playing.

Here’s the screw up. I don’t know what happened to those ribs. I checked the kitchen and I can’t find them anywhere, not the fridge, not the oven. I checked the garbage to see if I somehow ate 4.5lbs of ribs but nope, I estimate there were enough bones in there for about a quarter of the ribs. So where the hell did I put the remaining 3lbs?!?

And here’s the other thing, I cleaned up! I washed all the dishes and utensils…it even looks like I made up a salad and then cleaned the bowls.

Oh and I live alone so no-one else could have eaten them.

There’s going to be a real funky smell in my kitchen in a few days. fml.

So there it is, if you’re going to drunk cook only make simple food that you’ll finish as one meal and not lose the leftovers.
