I did not get high

Last night I sat down to drink with friends, started with french brandy then jager shorts but I did not get any high at all, not even slightly buzzed, it felt like I had nothing. I drink beer 2-3 times a week at most and usually feel the effects no matter how subtle after first beer, but I did not feel even a thing after drinking yesterday. Why? I also somehow had a bad stomach today morning.
